NCAP sends art and music teachers to a variety of programs in the Highland neighborhood throughout the year.
NCAP visits Creswell Elementary’s after-school program twice a week! On Mondays we bring musical instruments, and on Tuesdays we teach the same art lesson that our Children’s Fine Art Academy students are being taught.
NCAP takes art projects to Community Renewal International's children and youth Friendship Houses once a week in the afternoons during the school year.
VOA Lighthouse Program
We bring djembe drums and a variety of musical instruments to the Volunteers of America's Lighthouse after-school program for students K-12th grade.
Highland Senior Lunches
We make monthly visits to the Highland Center’s Senior lunch group to sing hymns with them during their visiting time.
Art in a Bag
NCAP is currently providing "Art in a Bag" for three different organizations. With Noel sponsoring the Highland Blessing Dinner at the Highland Center on the third Thursday of each month, NCAP creates a monthly art project in a brown paper bag with all instructions and supplies included for the children present. Bags are also give to the Renzi Center for their participants to take home at the end of each quarter. And we are currently creating bags for CASA Advocates to use as "busy bags" with their appointed children at court dates and "therapeutic art" bags for St. Joseph's Hospice to give to families of individuals in their care.
Purchased is designed to locate, love, and motivate women in the sex industry and victims of sex trafficking. Our NCAP art teachers work monthly alongside this effort of The Hub: Urban Ministries to provide art classes to women in their recovery homes.
